The Jonas Brothers' Kevin is now the Proud Father of a Baby Girl

On Sunday, February 2, Kevin Jonas, the oldest of the Jonas brothers, and his wife Danielle Deleasa became the happy parents of a baby girl, announced the 26-year-old musician himself through social networks.

The happy announcement came on the afternoon of Sunday through the Twitter account of the baby clothing detergent brand Dreft, which sponsors the musician.

"On this day, a little star was born. Meet Alena Rose Jonas," reads the tweet from yesterday which was accompanied by a picture of the baby in her mother's arms.

Through a press release quoted by E! Online, the new parents thanked their families and friends for the good wishes and support they received.

"We are more than happy with the birth of Alena Rose Jonas. She's precious. We couldn't be more excited to begin our family together. We want to thank our families and friends for their love and support, and our fans for their good wishes," said the family.

On their part, the other members of The Jonas Brothers, who officially split up in 2013, shared their excitement on Twitter over the arrival of a new member of the family, despite the passing of the brothers' grandfather.

"As one life ends, another begins. Incredibly happy to be an uncle for the first time. Welcome to this world my beautiful niece" wrote Joe Jonas on his Twitter account.

On his part, Nick Jonas tweeted that "My grandfathers memorial was yesterday. Today we welcome a new addition to the jonas family. God is great. Can't wait to meet my new niece."
