The anticipated follow-up to the Samsung S4 will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 24, according to sources. In a report by Android Authority, Eldar Murtazin of Mobile Review said that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be unveiled on February 24, not March or April.
According to TechRap, despite being the best all-around smartphone of 2013, the S4 had underwhelming sales because it didn't feel that much different from the S3. Samsung Vice President for Mobile, Lee Young Hee, even admitted this.
Samsung promises to exceed expectations for the S5, with standout features that will surely catch the eyes of techies.

Daum, a Korean news portal, reported a new development for the smartphone display with a Quad-HD or 2K Super AMOLED, which is expected to debut with the S5. This display measures 5.2 inches diagonally, with a whopping 1440x2560 resolution.
As for its power, it is believed to have an Exynos 6 or Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, and a 3000 mAh battery.
It is also rumored to have a fingerprint scanner similar to the Touch ID of the iPhone 5S.
As for its software, it will run on the latest Android version -- the v4.4 KitKat -- with a new customized Android User Interface called the Touch Wiz.
For Instagram and social media users, the new S5 is rumored to come with a 21-megapixel sensor, but according to T3, this would mean that Samsung should retain the 4:3 sensor that is used for its other existing phones. It has also been suggested that the phone may come with a 16:9 sensor instead, but this would mean that the phone will have to feature a 16-megapixel sensor instead of 21 as originally thought.
There is no word yet on how the Samsung Galaxy S5 will cost, but it may cost about as much as the S4 did when it was first released, which is expected to be around $750.
