The chances of wrestling fans expecting Daniel Bryan to snag the WrestleMania XXX Championship on January 26 have been dampened as the wrestler faces a health scare. According to Pro Wrestling Scoops, Bryan has suffered a concussion during his steel cage match on WWE Raw, and could threaten his health should he decide to join the pay-per-view event.

The article also said that despite being able to do the match, and even emerging on top of the cage screaming "Yes!" to ignite the famous heel chant from the crowd, it was obvious to viewers that he was injured as he stopped and had a confused expression on his face. Bryan was immediately given emergency care by WWE officials after noticing his abrupt hesitation. The Examiner notes that Bryan said he has no recollection of his steel cage match.

Bryan is reportedly slated to compete against another fan favorite, Bray Wyatt, at the Royal Rumble next week, said Bleacher Report. However, Bryan's health clearly postpones the much-anticipated bout. The report also notes that this could be bad news for WWE in terms of pay-per-views, as the match generated substantial buzz, thanks to Bryan's popularity. The report added that it could also affect all storylines leading to WrestleMania 30.

A separate article by the sports news website recounts Bryan's fast rise towards wrestling superstar status, crediting his brief stint with wrestling team, the Wyatt Family, as the turning point to the wrestler's celebrity wattage power. Always the consummate underdog, the report said his organic anti-hero character has appealed to WWE fanbase, and even reached out haters as well.

In this light, Auburnpub.com said the clear victors of WrestleMania could be a toss between Batista and CM Punk. It argued that both wrestlers only need one World Heavyweight Championship to quickly narrow the field, and are seen to be the only two candidates who can beat John Cena or Randy Orton. Unless Batista decides to sit out on his expected return to the WWE on January 20, Auburnpub.com said the wrestling championship belt is up for grabs.
