Is the "Justice League" movie being filmed at the same time as "Batman vs. Superman?" According to one report, the two movies are entering production simultaneously.

Latino Review, known for breaking stories long before they are officially announced, claims that the "Justice League" movie will enter into production at the same time as the hotly anticipated "Batman vs. Superman" movie for a number of reasons.

The report indicates that Warner Bros. is hoping to maximize the schedule because such stars as Ben Affleck, who plays Batman, have busy schedules. Latinos Review also states that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also rumored to appear in the movie.

"Ben Affleck is a busy man, Henry Cavill is in-demand, and [Dwayne] Johnson is a workaholic. Not to mention Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and the rest of the unannounced cast are no slouches either," said the report.

The report also notes that the two movies are meant to be watched back-to-back, meaning that there will be a cliffhanger at the end of "Batman vs. Superman" that will lead right into the "Justice League" film.

Filming multiple movies simultaneously is a new industry trend. Peter Jackson filmed all three "Lord of the Rings" movies at the same time and has also done the same for his new trilogy of "Hobbit" movies. The Wachowski siblings did production on "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions" at the same time as well. Disney produced the second and third "Pirates of the Caribbean" films at the same time as well and released them a year apart.

This seems like a logical step for Warner Bros., especially since the studio lacks a major franchise at the moment aside from "The Hobbit" movies. The new "Justice League" movies would likely give the studio a chance to compete with Disney and its stronghold on the Marvel superheroes.
