You may have stumbled on a U.K. government site of The Ministry of Magic, straight out of Harry Potter's fictional world. If you're a big fan of the book series, you're probably brimming over with excitement right now, with eyes lit up like Christmas lights (well, it IS Christmas after all). However, not to burst your happy bubble, the site is not exactly an authentic British government department website.

What Andy Brown, the creator of the official-looking domain, did was develop and design a site so it mirrors the format and look of genuine GOV.UK sites, The Next Web reported. The URL itself, which is www.ministryofmagic.co, proves that it is indeed not a real government site.

In addition, there's not much to explore in the domain as most of the links lead to a Confundus post with the following message: "Looks like you've confunded us -- Page not found." A gif image accompanies the said message.

What is impressive about the site though, is that the home page is done with professional finesse and creativity. You can even find a brief profile of the site's creator himself when you click on his name under the "Our Ministers" section of the page. He cleverly labeled himself "Head of Department of the Use of Muggle Technologies."

Aside from being an "entrepreneur who taught himself to code," Brown is a "cohort member of the Entrepreneur First program who worked with the Government Digital Service earlier this year," The Next Web revealed. Considering this, it's no wonder he managed to create a site that resembles an actual GOV.UK domain.

Notably, Brown appointed Arthur Weasley, Harry's flame-haired best friend's father, as the Head of the Department of International Magic Cooperation. He also has named Nymphadora Tonks as Head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
