The Europa League may be the most exciting it's been in years. The arrival of such clubs as Juventus, Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Basel, Porto and Benfica will make this a tournament that showcases some of the major teams in the world.

Juventus is the top team in Italy and was arguably a favorite to get out of its group in the Champions League. Unfortunately, the side failed to get through to the knockout round and was relegated to the minor European tournament. However, this is a major gain for a tournament often overlooked and ignored because its lack of major stars. Who wouldn't want to see Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo in action with a real chance at European glory? Or how about Portugal's top two teams? Both sides faltered in the big tournament, but will bring real pedigree to the Europa League this season. The biggest addition of all may actually be Napoli, a team that failed to get out of the Group of Death but showed a tremendous amount of composure in getting 12 points from teams such as Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Marseille. They will likely be looked upon as the favorites to win the tournament with such talent as Gonzalo Higuain leading the way.

But what about the other teams that were in the tournament from the start? Which of them could make a deep run and potentially win the title? Tottenham Hotspur has been horrific in the Premier League but was terrific in this tournament; they will be favorites. Valencia also rounded into form throughout the group stage and should not be overlooked. Red Bull Salzburg navigated an easy group but managed six wins in six tries.

Who do you think is the Europa League favorite this season?
