Colombian singer Juanes presented his new album titled "La Luz".

His new album will be released on December 16, and it was made in collaboration with various artists and friends of Juanes, reported news agency EFE.

"La Luz" features Emmanuel "Meme" del Real, musician and singer for Mexican band Café Tacvba and Steve Lillywhite, a sound engineer that has worked with The Rolling Stones, U2 and Morrissey.

On his official Instagram account, juanes01, the singer told his fans the album was ready, and promised them a special preview but just as the Colombian singer attempted to play the song, the light went out.

"Hey, what's up? How's everyone? I'm very happy to show you the new single for my new album, which is already done. So I'm gonna play it, listen... Oh, what happened? Did the light go out?" said the singer in the video.

Juanes, who is seen in a recording studio, received various messages from his fans, with some saying it could be a great publicity stunt by pointing out that the name of the album, "La Luz" ("The Light") and the fact that the light went out in the video.

He also shared the cover of the album, which shows his face and a guitar surrounded by flames. Some flowers, stars, rays and geometric figures surround the words "The Light" while the singer's name is on top.

EFE shared that Universal Music said that Juanes has more than 25 million followers on social networks.

Besides his new production, the Colombian also collaborated with Mexican guitartist Carlos Santana's upcoming album "Corazón", with a cover of "La Flaca" by Jarabe de Palo.

Juanes sang the song and Santana was very pleased to have worked with Juanes, and said that the Colombian musician was very accessible and they recorded the song without problems.
