The Nokia Lumia 520 has encountered a price increase on Amazon but only for Indian consumers.

The Indian branch of Amazon has ended its previous price cut for the Lumia 520. The Windows Phone 8 smartphone was priced at Rs. 7,050, which is approximately $115 when converted to the U.S. dollar.

As of Dec. 11, the price for the Lumia 521 increased to Rs. 8,450, or $138 under the U.S. dollar. Despite the price increase, the Lumia 520 on Amazon is still Rs. 2,839 cheaper from the usual price of Rs. 11,289, which also represented a 25 percent savings.

The smartphone will also be shipped for free and inclusive of all taxes.

In the U.S., the Lumia 520 is priced at $69.99 with free shipping, which is $30 less from the original list price of $99.99.

As Latinos Post reported, the Lumia 520 was named the top Windows Phone device in India. According to AdDuplex, the Lumia 520 accounted for 43.4 percent of the overall Windows Phone devices utilized in the country. The Lumia 520 topped fellow Windows Phone devices such as the Lumia 720, Lumia 920 and Lumia 625.

The Lumia 520 sports a 4-inch screen display with 800x480 resolution. The rear-facing camera has 5 megapixels while no secondary camera is present and the Windows Phone 8 smartphone has 8GB for internal storage with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone uses a 1,430mAh battery.

The Lumia 520 made its debut at February's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain along with the Lumia 720.
