Ajax Amsterdam and AC Milan will fight for second place in Group H of the UEFA Champions League .

Milan currently sits in second place in the group with eight points while Ajax is just one behind with seven. A draw for the Italian side will put it through to the next round while a win for Ajax is the only option for the Dutch side.

The last time these two teams met in Amsterdam, Ajax took a 1-0 lead in the 90th minute but a controversial penalty shot by Mario Balotelli tied the score at one.

"We are making good progress in terms of results. Tomorrow's game is crucial and we will approach it in a determined manner. A draw will be enough for us, but our aim is to win," said Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, according to UEFA. "The stakes are very high so we'll need to concentrate - we can't afford to play for a draw."

Ajax is coming off a clutch 2-1 win over Barcelona at home and knows that it will need to muster that same performance to take down Milan on the road.

"Milan are at home and they are a great team. Both sides have an equal chance of winning and getting through - I would say 50-50. They have improved a lot lately, but we are also doing well. If we play at our level we can get three points," said Ajax Coach Frank de Boer, according to UEFA. "They will try to defend and keep the ball. Kaká and Balotelli are two great players, we have to be careful of them, but we feel good and we can produce a great performance. We need to exploit the space that Milan will give us. We have to do our best.

Prediction: Milan wins 1-0.
