We already know Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick, Jr. are judging the next batch of "American Idol" hopefuls. We know that there is no truth to the rumor of Simon Cowell taking one of the judge's seats anytime soon, although he'll be father to an actual bouncing baby (who may be competing in talent shows in the future).

We also know Kelly Clarkson, first AI champion, has married, become pregnant, and still continues to ride on her wave of musical success. And we know for a fact that fourth season success story Carrie Underwood continues to make wonderful music with her vocal prowess, although her acting debut on "Sound of Music Live!" was panned by critics. But whatever happened to the others?

Let's begin with the newly-minted "American Idol" winner, Candice Glover.

She was crowned champ just last May, which marked the end of season 12, but her debut album has yet to be released. It had been slated for a summer release but its launch was pushed back a couple of times that 24-year-old Glover faces the danger of being a has-been before this year ends. The latest update, as reported by Yahoo! TV, tells us that her much-delayed album will be dropped on Feb. 18 next year.

Next up is Ruben Studdard, the "Velvet Teddy Bear," of "American Idol." The second season champ went on to record a couple of albums, got married, and later got a divorce. He also has since lost, regained, and lost (again) 100 pounds. He was last seen in "Biggest Loser" and is said to be "working on the next phase of music career," according to AL.com.

Fantasia Barrino, who won season three of "Idol" in 2004, only won her first Grammy in 2011 and later launched her own reality show, CNN reported. She has dropped a new album this year, titled "Side Effects of You."

Meanwhile, bluesy-rock crooner and AI Season five winner Taylor Hicks has returned to his Las Vegas roots, performing as resident artist at Bally's until December 2013. He will soon be seen on "The Choice,a dating show.

Rocker David Cook, declared champion of "American Idol's" seventh season, changed record companies in 2012 and released a new single through "Idol"-creator Simon Fuller's label XIX Recordings, titled "Laying Me Low." Cook is currently working on his third album, which is slated for a 2014 release.
