Apple's mobile expansion in China has reportedly made a development as the Cupertino-based organization signed a deal with a major mobile carrier.
According to the Wall Street Journal, China Mobile, the world's largest mobile carrier, will sell Apple's iPhones as soon as late December.

The timing for the deal looks perfect; China Mobile will announce its expansion into 4G on Dec. 18.
The alleged deal is significant as China Mobile has more than 700 million customers. As The Verge noted, China Mobile has been considered an "important target" for Apple.
The iPhone has been available in China via other mobile carriers such as China Telecom and China Unicom.
If the reports are proven to be accurate, it follows a similar deal made in Japan when carrier NTT DoCoMo finally started to sell iPhones this year. NTT DoCoMo originally declined to sell any of Apple's iPhones due to disputes over pre-installed apps. NTT DoCoMo lost approximately 3.2 million users within the last five years allegedly for not carrying the iPhone.
Apple has not issued a comment regarding the China Mobile deal but details could come following the Dec. 18 event.
