Always controversial, Lindsay Lohan once again becomes the focus of attention except this time it's not about her excesses or scandals.

The New York actress might be preparing a lawsuit against the developers of popular videogame Grand Theft Auto V since she thinks the developers of the popular franchise used her likeness without her authorization.

According to information published by TMZ, the 27-year-old actress might sue Rockstar, the developers of the game, and demand economic compensation for her alleged appearance in the game.

The videogame, which has not been exempt from accusations around the alleged "advocating of violence" it promotes, might have attempted to have made a joke for the benefit of players by introducing a small Lohan cameo in GTAV.

The cover of GTAV shows the character of a blonde woman in a red bikini, who Lohan thinks is based off her. But besides this, at some point in the game, the character must escape from paparazzi and then shows up at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood, place the actress often visits and where she lived for some time.

Although for the moment the developers of GTAV haven't commented on the matter, specialists consider it would be very difficult to prove the character that briefly appears in the videogame, a clear satire of show business, is effectively Lohan.

According to The Huffington Post, Erik Kain, habitual collaborator for Forbes, considered that the "paparazzi missions" in GTAV seek to satirize people like Lohan; however, she said it's more probable that the female character in the game is the "amalgam of various generic celebrities", so proving that it is indeed Lohan would be very difficult.

Besides this, The Huffington Post pointed out that the likeness of the girl on the cover of GTAV is designed to look like Shelby Welinder, a model hired by Rockstar in 2012 to pose for the cover of the game.

The American model confirmed today on Twitter that she was hired by the developers of GTA V, and shared a link to website Uproxx, where the claim is confirmed.

I did just post a comment on here about my work if anyone's interested x "@UPROXX: https://t.co/Qm0YBrgsLc"
