Cristiano Ronaldo is not injured. At least that is what everyone is claiming.

The superstar limped off the field in Real Madrid's match against Almeria on Saturday; the image of the Ballon d'Or favorite in that position seemingly scared the entire Blancos fan base.

However, the superstar and his coach recently told the media that there was nothing to be afraid of.

"He had a problem with his hamstring. I don't think it's a big problem. It doesn't hurt him," said Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, according to The World Game. "His muscle is a bit tired but I think he'll be better soon.

"Tomorrow he'll have some tests but we think that it's not an important problem," he added. "Cristiano started the game with a goal but then he had a little problem."

Ronaldo also confirmed the same information.

"It was a blow - it's nothing special," Ronaldo said.

The superstar is currently have the best year of his career and added his 66th goal of the year in the victory over Almeria. However, there is a major concern over his health and whether the team should rest him.

Madrid plays on Wednesday against Galatasaray and it is believed that he should rest in that match. Ronaldo will likely be looking to play in hopes of extending his goal scoring streak prior to the close of the Ballon d'Or window on Nov. 29. The match on Wednesday would be his last chance to make his case.

While it would be great to help Ronaldo maintain his streak, Madrid should think of the long term. The team is still in a position to win the Spanish League and could make a deep run in the Champions League. The side only needs a point to clinch the top spot in its group and could likely do without Ronaldo. The squad will play home on Wednesday against a team it took down 6-1 a few weeks ago on the road.

Considering Lionel Messi's injury, Madrid should take all the necessary precautions to make sure that its superstar does not get hurt any worse than he currently is. He will still have another five matches left in 2013 to build on his goal total; one game will not make any real difference if his health is at stake.

Should Ronaldo rest on Wednesday against Galatasaray?
