Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin met his oldest fan recently during the presentation of his children's book, a 96-year-old man that got to share a personal moment with the artist during the book signing.

News website El Nuevo Día interviewed Antonio Torres, who during the presentation of the book, "Santiago the Dreamer", waited for hours in the Santurce Art Museum in Puerto Rico to get an autograph from Ricky Martin.

"The wait was long, but it was worth it (...) When I got there we gave him the book and he said to me: Grandpa! and gave me a hug. I took the opportunity and got a picture with him. It was exciting to hug him", said the man from Puerto Nuevo.

The photo shows Torres who is being hugged by a smiling Ricky Martin, next to who he now considers to be his oldest fan.

El Nuevo Día points out that Antonio Torres' wife was also a fan, but she died before she could meet him in person, so the man explained how much it meant for him to be able to be next to the idol he has admired since Martin began his career.

"We've been following him forever. I went to his first concert on the Island with my wife. If there's something I admire about him is that he's never changed and that he's always been humble", said Torres.

After the release of "Santiago the Dreamer", Martin is preparing the new theme song for the next FIFA World Cup.

FIFA has chosen the singer to be in charge of choosing a commemorative theme song for the 2014 Brazil World Cup, which will be included in his new album titled "2014 FIFA World Cup".

Sony and the Puerto Rican star invited everyone to participate with their songs through the website "Super Song" until Jan. 6, 2014 and will announce the winning song in February.
