Qatar will take on Yemen in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on Friday.

Qatar has been one of the better offensive sides in the tournament thus far with eight goals in three games; the team has only conceded one tally in that span.

Qatar opened its tournament with a 2-0 home win over Malaysia before losing 1-0 in Bahrain. In its most recent game against Yemen, the team exploded for a 6-0 win that included three goals from Khalfan Ibrahim.

Yemen has scored once in three games and has conceded 10. In its opener the team lost 2-0 at home before losing 2-1 in Malaysia. The nation's most recent game was the 6-0 loss against Qatar.

A win for Qatar potentially puts the team in first place; this is all dependent on Bahrain drawing or losing against Malaysia. A draw in this game will either preserve the team's second place standing or put it into a three-way tie for first place; Malaysia would have to beat Bahrain in order for this second scenario to play out. A loss for Qatar would keep it in the top three but could push the team all the way down to third place.

Prediction: Qatar has been explosive offensively and should be the favorite heading into this match. Yemen's home field advantage should not be over looked but this should ultimately be a simple 4-0 win for Qatar.

Start Time: Kick-off gets underway at 6:35 a.m. EST.

The match will not be broadcast in the United States or online.
