The disaster relief following Typhoon Haiyan is continuing to flow in, and telecommunications company Comcast has announced its efforts for to help its customers.

According to Comcast, Xfinity Voice residential customers will receive free calls to the Philippines. The 10.5 million Xfinity Voice residential customers are able to utilize the free calls to help them contact friends and family from Nov. 8 until Nov. 22.

Comcast Corporation in TV's chief blogger J T. Ramsay noted customers do not need to perform any action for the free calls; credits and waived fees will be automatic.

In regards to Xfinity TV digital customers, Comcast has worked with the Filipino Channel to provide customers the latest news and updates from the Philippines.

In areas where the Filipino Channel is currently aired, Comcast is offering the channel for free until Nov. 15. The Filipino Channel has been providing special coverage following Typhoon Haiyan's impact in the country.

"Our hearts go out to all those impacted by the devastating typhoon in the Philippines - the victims, their families and their loved ones," said Ramsay in a statement.

As Latinos Post reported, Apple and Verizon Wireless have both announced disaster relief plans.

For Apple, the Cupertino-based organization is allowing iTunes customers to donate between $5 and $200. Meanwhile, Verizon announced it will donate a $100,000 grant for the American Red Cross Philippines Typhoon Appeal Fund. In addition, similar to Comcast's efforts, Verizon Wireless has waived fees on customers trying to call and text friends and family in the Philippines.
