For the Lumia 1520, Nokia has taken a different route in utilizing the Nokia Rich Recording.

"We included four second generation, omnidirectional, low-noise HAAC microphones to form two identical microphone pairs, one for each audio channel," noted Nokia, adding that each of the microphone's signals are processed with algorithms in 32-bit arithmetic.

The Lumia 1520 will sport four microphones.

"The sensitivity difference between the sounds in the front of the camera compared to the sounds in back of the camera can be up to 10dB in free-field conditions," continued Nokia. "In other words, the sounds in front of the camera can be recorded even twice as loud compared to the sounds in the back."

With the Nokia Rich Recording and four microphones, the benefits with the Lumia 1520 are improved sound clarity particularly for subjects on camera mode, enhanced accuracy, improved localization of sounds surrounding the camera, reduced "room effect" echoes, and distortion-free recording.

Nokia added, "One can say that the Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone delivers a unique combination of the latest audio technologies in multimedia audio recording and high-quality voice. Nokia Rich Recording with four microphones is again one step closer to a perfect recording."

As Latinos Post reported, AT&T and the online Microsoft Store have started to accept pre-orders for the Lumia 1520. A common aspect with the pre-orders is the starting price of the Windows Phone 8 device, which is $199.99 when signing a two-year contract with AT&T. AT&T is offering the Lumia 1520 under its AT&T Next plan for $27 per the next 20 months.
