Miss Universe 2013 Contestants, Predictions, Dates, News: Meet France, Estonia and Finland's Beauty Queens

On Nov. 9, the Miss Universe beauty pageant will take place and 86 contestants will look to take home the crown. Among the contestants are Estonia's Kristina Karjalainen, Finland's Lotta Hintsa and France's Hinarani de Longeaux.

Karjalainen currently works as a model and on her spare time she loves to read horror novels, swim and dance. She is currently studying the Hungarian language and wants to learn at least four more languages in her lifetime.  Karjalainen describes herself as an energetic and outgoing person who loves taking advantage of new opportunities and experiences.

Her road to Miss Universe began in 2012 when she competed at the Miss Globe International 2012 pageant as Miss Globe Finland. She placed in the Top 5 and won the "Miss Golden Girl" award. In 2013, she was crowned Eesti Miss Estonia at the Toompea Castle in Tallinn.

Estonia has never won a crown but made it to the top ten twice in 1997 and 2000.

Hintsa from Finland is currently attending the Jyvaskyla School of Business and Economics in her native country. Among her many hobbies are fashion, pilates, yoga, boxing, cheerleading and playing the flute. Her journey as a model began in 2013 when she was crowned Miss Suomi 2013 at the annual event held at the Långvik Congress Wellness Hotel.

Hintsa will attempt to bring the crown back to her country, which it won in 1952 and 1975.

De Longeaux from France began her modeling career when she was 17 years old. She currently works for the SOS Village Enfant, an organization that seeks to provide a secure home for orphaned or abandoned children around the world. De Longeaux grew up in French Polynesia and has a passion for music, sports and traveling.

Prior to becoming the French representative for Miss Universe, De Longeaux was crowned Miss Tahiti in 2012. In 2012, she became the first runner-up at Miss France 2013. While she did not win the pageant that made her eligible for Miss Universe, De Longeaux was able to compete because Miss France Marine Lorphelin chose to compete in Miss World instead of Miss Universe.

De Longeaux will look to take the crown back to France for the first time since 1953; the country has failed to win it since. The last time the country was able to make the top ten was in 2010.

The Miss Universe Pageant will be held in Moscow, Russia.
