"We developed an all new lightweight design that's extremely comfortable to hold in one hand for people who love to read anytime, anywhere," said Nook Media's Chief Operating Officer Mahesh Veerina. "Lighter and brighter, with crisp, sharp text, no full page flashing and no ads, our redesigned reading experience is more immersive than ever making the device a must-have item for long-form readers."

According to Veerina, Barnes & Noble customers can visit their local stores and try the new Nook GlowLight.

The Nook GlowLight features a 6-inch screen with 1,024x758 resolution at 212 pixels per inch, or ppi. Barnes & Noble noted the tablet's battery can withstand up to eight weeks on a single charge based on 30 minutes of daily reading and one page refresh per minute. The tablet utilizes a 800MHz single-core processor. The Nook Glowlight sports 4GB of internal storages, which Barnes & Noble noted can store up to 2,000 books.

The Nook Glowlight's content includes books, magazines, and newspapers, unlike the Nook HD tablets that can view apps, movies, television shows, catalogs, and Google Play.

The Nook GlowLight is already available for purchase at Barnes & Noble stores and online for $119.
