Legendary diva Gloria Estefan was sued over an injury a female customer suffered at her restaurant Bongo's Cuban Café in Miami, TMZ reported.

According to that news site, the woman, named Gerri Ann Yanks, claimed she suffered "bodily injury, pain, physical handicap, disfigurement, mental pain and suffering, loss of income, and loss of the capacity to enjoy life."

Yanks got hurt "after slipping and falling on a slippery substance," says the lawsuit. Although her exact injuries aren't specified, she is suing the restaurant and Estefan Enterprises, Inc. for more than $15,000.

TMZ informed the singer's reps have made no comments on the issue.

Estefan is not the only Latina that has been sued recently. Singer and actress Selena Gómez was sued by perfume company Adrenalina Inc. after she reportedly violated a contract by backing out from a deal.

The former Disney star was supposed to front a perfume line, for which the Adrenalina Inc. poured $2 million into research and development, according to Fox News.

However, it was reported the 21-year-old star walked away from the deal because her representatives realized the fragrance company was going broke. Back in May, Gómez counter sued Adrenalina Inc., claiming it owed her $5.2 million.

An attorney for Gómez, Michael Weinsten, said the company agreed to pay the singer 5 percent in royalty sales of all her brand scents and promised her a minimum earning of $5.2 million.

However, Weinsten said his client walked away from the deal because feared her reputation may be compromised by the perfume company. "Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured," said the lawyer. "Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages."

Before being sued, Estefan was definitely enjoying life. With a new album out, "The Standars," and celebrating her marriage 34th anniversary, the Cuban born artist was confessed she was embracing life.

"This is the time in my life when I'm doing everything I want to do, when I want to do it. It's 'me time,'" Estefan told AARP, according to Latin Gossip .

The singer also talked about her husband, Emilio Estefan. "He's kept me laughing and I think that's a big part of our relationship too and why it's been so good so long. Because if you can laugh with somebody, that's healing for sure," said the 55-year-old star.
