Miles Teller has confirmed that he auditioned for "Fantastic Four."

During a Fandango quiz the actor said that he had auditioned for the role of Reed Richards and said that if he landed the part, he would being working for seven months. "If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I'll also be working for... it's like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem!" said Teller.

The actor has been linked to the film for a number of months alongside Michael B. Jordan and Saoirse Ronan. However, formal casting has not been announced.

Teller is best known for his work on the Indie hit "The Spectacular Now" and the "Rabbit Hole" in which he starred alongside Aaron Eckhart ("The Dark Knight") and Nicole Kidman ("The Hours"). He was also seen in "Footloose," "21 & Over" and "Project X." He will next appear in "Divergent" with Shailene Woodley and in "The Awkward Moment" with Zac Efron and Jordan.

Fox recently announced that Simon Kinberg ("Sherlock Holmes") would re-write the script after Jeremy Slater, Michael Green, Seth Grahame-Smith and T.S Nowlin wrote the first drafts.

"Chronicle" director Josh Trank is currently slated to helm the film. Gregory Goodman and Matthew Vaughn will produce the movie.

"Fantastic Four" is slated to begin shooting in Louisiana next year and Fox will release the film reboot on March 6, 2015.
