Paramount has unveiled the latest trailer to "The Wolf of Wall Street."

The trailer comes a day after the company announced that the film would be released on Christmas Day. The new trailer reveals a little more about the story and the character but shockingly does not include Matthew McConaughey in the top billing for the film; the actor was showcased a lot more in the first trailer, which was revealed over the summer.

The new version was reportedly cut by 20 minutes from its original three hours. The film was supposed to be released on Nov. 15 but was delayed and trimmed due to Paramount's complaints about the length and the company's rumored concern that the film could qualify for a NC-17 rating. Before the official announcement of the release date, pundits believed the studio would delay the film until next year as many have done in the past month due to a crowded slate.

The Christmas Day release will put the film against newcomers "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "47 Ronin," "Grudge Match" and the Justin Bieber documentary "Believe."

The late release will also prove an uphill battle in the Oscar race as many pundits originally had it as a worthy front-runner. Most recent Oscar winners now make their official launches at festivals to make sure most voters see the film, and the movies have time to garner buzz. "Wolf" won't have that advantage.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" tells the story of Jordan Belfort's rise and fall as a wealthy stockbroker. Leonardo DiCaprio leads a cast that also includes Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Byrne and Ethan Suplee. Red Granite's Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland produced the film with DiCaprio, Scorsese, Emma Koskoff and Alexandra Milchan.
