The family and fans of Jenni Rivera have been surprised after journalist Laura Lucio said she is preparing the release of a new book about the life of "La Gran Señora", which has caused outrage in the Rivera family, who did not authorize the book.

According to People en Español, the book will be titled "Mi Vida Loca: Intimate Conversations With My Friend Jenni Rivera", and will be published in early 2014 in English and Spanish.

The first to protest the matter has been Jenni's own mother, who has highlighted that this is not a book authorized by the Rivera family, and said that the journalist is taking advantage of the Mexican singer's fame.

Univisión reported that Rosa Saavedra, Jenni's mother, wrote a Tweet in which she comments ironically about the alleged "friends" of the singer: "Hello, there's so many friends of Jenni here. Simple curiosity if she came back she'd go away again after telling her what she feels because she would".

On her part, the journalist has set a date for the release of her new book, planned for next February 14, 2014.

In a promotional video, Lucio says that she always told Jenni Rivera to write as a form of therapy, and that she began to write the book in 2005 and its progress was interrupted just weeks before the singer's fatal accident.

"My intention as her friend is not to offend anyone. I'm simply honoring her wishes, her memory and her legacy, for the love she had for her audience, and the love her audience gave her, and the friendship that united us...", the journalist said in the video.

Since December 2012, a few days after Jenni died, "Chiquis" Rivera, her daughter, exploded against members of the press she accused of taking advantage of the singer's death to get notoriety.

According to People en Español, "Chiquis" said back then of Los Angeles journalist Raquel Córdova: "you have no right to grant an interview talking about anything, especially if you don't have any concrete information and without asking me first".

Regarding Lucio, the "Diva of Banda's" daughter said that: "And neither can you. You have no right to open your snout just because you can. And you know, as well as anyone else, that you were not a 'GREAT friend' of my mother. People, please don't believe everything you read or hear".
