Cesc Fabregas could make a return to Arsenal at some point in the future.

The Barcelona midfielder revealed that he misses his former team and could make a return somewhere down the line. He hinted that he could play again, but also noted that his return could be as a coach.

"Arsenal is in my heart and always will be. It was important for me to leave the right way. I think the fans understood," Fabregas said according to the Guardian. "I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to go back and play there one day, or maybe after football. The club's like a family so even if it wasn't as a coach, I'm sure they'd give me the chance to play a role. It's a club that is always going to be there and will always open its doors to me."

Fabregas was at the center of major transfer rumors this offseason with Manchester United reportedly making numerous bids for the player. Ultimately Fabregas decided to stay with his former club.

One of the reasons for Fabregas' reported departure was his lack of playing time. Last season, Fabregas was left on the bench throughout the year and many wondered whether he would find himself into the lineup with the arrival of Neymar. So far, the season has gone well for the midfielder as he has played in eight of Barcelona's Spanish League matches (he has started in seven of them) and has compiled a goal and six assists.

The likelihood of an Arsenal return in the next few years is minimal, especially if his role continues to grow in Barcelona.
