Valencia and St. Gallen will face off for a chance to take over second place in Group A of the Europa League.

Both teams enter the game tied with three points and the winner will undoubtedly have a chance to runaway with the second spot.

Valencia opened its tournament with a disheartening 3-0 loss at home against Swansea City. Fortunately the team turned things around quickly with a 2-0 win over Kuban Krasnodar on the road. St. Gallen opened its tournament with a 2-0 win at home against Kuban Krasnodar but was shutdown 1-0 by a superior Swansea City side.

This is the first meeting between the two sides; this is St. Gallen's first game against a Spanish opponent.  Valencia has played in four games against Swiss opponents and has come away with two wins and two draws. According to UEFA, Swiss teams have performed poorly in Spain.

"Swiss sides have not traditionally excelled on Spanish soil, winning only two of the 23 previous UEFA games between clubs representing the two nations in Spain, drawing four and losing 17. The aggregate score in those matches is 54-13 to the Liga clubs," says a report from UEFA's official website.

Prediction: Valencia has started to improve its form and should have the decisive advantage at home. However, the Swiss team will undoubtedly battle for its points and could stun a Spanish side that has often lacked confidence. Expect Valencia to win 1-0.

Start Time: 3 p.m. EST
