Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka will try to stay perfect during the WTA Tour Championship as they take on their respective foes Wednesday in Day 2 of the year-ending tourney at the Sinan Erdem Dome.

Serena Williams vs. Agnieszka Radwańska

Williams showed everybody who's the best women's singles player in the world after obliterating Angelique Kerber 6-3, 6-1 in the opening Red Group duel.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion entered her fourth career duel with a 2-1 head-to-head record over Kerber. On Tuesday, Williams didn't disappoint a bit as she dominated almost every statistical department of the match.

"I feel really good," Williams said in the post-match interview via BBC News. "She's beaten me before so I was a little nervous and really focused. I never usually say I'm happy about a match, but I am now and I'm excited about that.

"It's such a tough tournament. Every match you have to be focused. I'm happy, but I have to get focused again," she added

Williams will now look forward to facing another feisty contender in Radwanska, who came off a 4-6, 4-6 loss to Petra Kvitova in the opening day.

Wednesday's match will mark the eighth time these two top-rated tennis players meet in the hard court, and as expected, Williams has been unbeaten in all of her seven previous meetings with Radwanska.

Prediction: Williams in Straight Sets

For the eighth straight time, Williams will be again too much for Radwanska to stop. No offense to the Polish beauty, but Williams has been too unstoppable when motivated this season. The top-ranked netter has already won three times in the WTA Tour Championship (2001, 2009 and 2012), and yet, she still looks very much hungry to get another title.  Williams in 6-2, 6-3

Victoria Azarenka vs. Jelena Jankovic

Azarenka opened her 2013 WTA Tour Championships campaign on a winning note after dropping Sara Errani 7-6 (4), 6-2 on Tuesday.

The No.2-ranked women's singles netter started a little bit off in the opening frame as she trailed the Italian Errani, 2-5. However, Azarenka racked up three straight games and then completed the comeback to take the first set. Errani's collapse served as the game-changer in the match as Azarenka went on to take their match in straight sets.

Facing Vika next will be another former world's no.1 Jelena Jankovic. Jankovic, ranked seventh in the world, is trailing Azarenka 5-3 in their head-to-head match, but she's nevertheless capable of coming through with a stunner.

Prediction: Azarenka in Three Sets

Azarenka has been shaky as of late, though she's a proven player in big time situation. After all, Azarenka is still looking for her first title at the WTA Tour Championship. Meanwhile, Jankovic will try to use her experience in an attempt to salvage a huge win at this stage of the tournament. Then again, Azarenka's wonderful returning game will surely cause all kinds of trouble for her.
