One of the first phones with a curved design, the LG G Flex is one of the more unique smartphones coming out in the near future, and now a genuine photo of the device has been leaked.

As The Verge reported, via a video by Telefe Noticias, the device's curve appears to be subtle, but it is curved enough so that placing the phone on a flat surface causes it to rock back and forth. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Round, which will also have a curved display, the LG G Flex is curved from left to right, giving it a distinctive banana shape. The Galaxy Round is curved the other direction, appearing like a halved tube.

Despite the LG G Flex photo leak, the specs for the curved smartphone remain under wraps. Its most frequently discussed spec is the phone's purported 6-inch display, and judging from the photos, the LG G Flex may indeed have a screen around that size. However, the device's processor, battery, operating system, and internal memory all remain question marks. It is rumored that the LG G Flex will have similar - if not the same - specs as the recently released LG G2, but so far nothing has been revealed either by LG or any other leaks.

One interesting dilemma that may plague future LG G Flex users concerns the phone's unique shape and its camera. While the curve of the LG G Flex is not radical, it is enough so that the camera may have to compensate for the fact that it will be positioned at an odd angle. Users might have to adjust their photo taking techniques due to the smartphone's shape, which could prove to be an annoyance.

While the LG G Flex remains a mystery outside of these scant spec leaks, soon the smartphone will be revealed in Korea. LG is expected to unveil the device in November, though exactly when is still unknown. Once the company pulls back the veil on its newest phone, then the specs and other details, such as release date and price, should come forward fairly quickly. However, it may be some time before the LG G Flex comes to North America; the LG G2 is still trying to gain a foothold here.
