"Batman vs. Superman" filming took place this past weekend at the Weingart Stadium.

According to IGN shooting took place during "half-time at the football game between East Los Angeles College and Victor Valley College at Weingart Stadium. The scene was a game between rivals Gotham City University and Metropolis State University."

IGN stated the Warner Bros. told the crowd that they were shooting a movie and referred to the movie as "Batman vs. Superman." IGN stated, "Then two scenes were filmed. Both plays were from around Gotham city's 30 yard line. The first play was a tackle for a Metropolis loss. The second was for a touchdown pass to the corner of the end zone for Metropolis. Then the bench cleared for Gotham and they had to break up a fight on the field. Gotham never even went on offense. Zack Synder was directing, he was on the mega phone calling the plays and cuts."

The studio then reportedly asked the crowd to wait around after the ELAC-Victor Valley College game ended in case additional shooting was needed.

"Batman vs. Superman" has not finished casting but it various sources have reported that preliminary shooting would start soon. The film is slated to star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. There has been no word if Batman will get a love interest or if the iconic character Alfred will appear in the film.

Snyder is directing movie as a follow-up to his latest film "Man of Steel." Warner Bros. will release the film in June 2014 with principal photography slated to begin in January.
