As anticipation builds for Google's new flagship handset, a brief glimpse of the Google Nexus 5 16GB variant was given, if accidentally, by Google on its Play Store late Thursday night.

Some details about the Google Nexus 5 have been swirling around the internet for a while, including possible specs and a release date, but it's always best to get it from the source - even if it's accidental. That appears to be what happened on Thursday, as the Google Nexus 5 base model was posted on the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/devices/collection/web_home_5000005_nexusUS) for at least long enough for some tech bloggers to get there and take a screenshot.

Here's what Android Police was able to get from the Play Store before Google took it down:

The Nexus 5 description says "Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways. Starting at $349."

When you click on the link, reportedly, it took you to the 16GB black Google Nexus 5, so the best we can assume is that the base level will come at $349, which probably means that the 32GB model will be over $400.

Those price sound like Google's Nexus line, and the picture associated with the Nexus 5 check out with the bevvy of leaks that have been coming out for the new device since the start of this season.

The Google Nexus 5 is rumored to come with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, along with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor and 2GB of RAM. It will probably get an unveiling at the end of this month, and a release date soon after, along with Google's new iteration of the Android operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat.
