Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Tim Bradley: Money Backs Out From Bradley Fight, Wants Easy Bout With Amir Khan

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his camp is not interested in booking a showdown with undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley as they set their sights on an 'easy' matchup with Amir Khan next year.

According to Floyd Mayweather Sr, Bradley has little chance of arranging a bout with his son simply because he has a lot of work to do for him to prove he is a worthy opponent inside the ring.

The father and trainer of the current pound-for-pound king believed 'Money' is too fast and quick for Bradley to take on despite Mayweather Jr.'s advanced age of 36 years old.

"Floyd's faster. He's quicker. He's more knowledgeable. Look here, all you got to do is look who is in the corner now. My son knows what his Daddy is talking about. Tell him a little bit and it will bring out a lot," Mayweather said in an interview with hustleboss.com via IBT.

However, the elder Mayweather doesn't rule out the possibility that the two undefeated American fighters will finally slug it out in the future.

"If he does fight him it better be in the future and he better try to make it last because he's still got a gap on my son. That's a good generation gap he's got. He's 30 years old against a man who is six [years older] but the man who's six years older is going to whip his a**," he added.   

Mayweather Jr., who's coming off a masterful 12-round unanimous decision victory over Saul Canelo Alvarez to win the WBC and Ring Magazine Light Middleweight crowns Sept. 14, is reportedly eyeing a date with Britain's contender Amir Khan in May of next year.

Khan was previously being pinned to fight Devon Alexander on Dec. 7, but the American instead decided to battle Shawn Porter in November. Khan is coming off back-to-back wins against Carlos Molina and Julio Diaz and a match with Mayweather could give him the fattest paycheck of his career.

"All those tough guys and champions that Floyd fought over the years. I think Floyd deserves an easy a** fight like Amir Khan. I want Floyd to tear his a** out of frame," said Mayweather Sr.
