Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best, if not the best, soccer players in the world. However, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger admires the Real Madrid superstar for a number of other reasons besides his performance on the pitch.
According to a number of reports, the actor and former governor of California recently commented on Ronaldo's chiseled figure.
"He has a fantastic physique," Schwarzenegger said according to the Mirror. "He has some great abs -- he looks spectacular. He looks to be in great shape, so it is clear he's a great footballer."
Schwarzenegger, a former body builder, even went as far as comparing his physique with Ronaldo but differentiated them by their aims and goals.
"I don't think he's interested in competing in Mr. Olympia. Ronaldo wants to be the best player in the world and what I wanted was to win the Mr. Olympia title," he said. "They're two very different sports."
Ronaldo has made the news recently for a controversial yellow card he drew in a World Cup Qualifier against Israel. According to reports, Ronaldo's card was intentional in order to get him a suspension in Tuesday's match against Luxembourg; that would enable him to have a clean record for the playoffs.
FIFA did some investigations to potential punish Ronaldo for his intentional yellow card, but the organization announced that it would not bring any additional disciplinary action against the Real Madrid star.
"It was considered that there were not enough elements to open any disciplinary proceedings," FIFA said in a statement on Tuesday according to ESPNFC.
