Shawn Michaels started off the show, addressing the upcoming Hell In A Cell main event cage match he will officiate, promising the WWE Universe he would call the bout down the middle despite the fact he trained Daniel Bryan and his longtime friendship with WWE COO Triple H. Randy Orton interrupted Michaels, threatening harm if the title match did not go his way before attempting an RKO, which "The Showstopper" blocked before attempting Sweet Chin Music. Orton slithered away, before he was attacked by The Miz, who was scheduled to take on "The Viper."

MATCH #1: The Miz vs. Randy Orton
The Miz finally got an opportunity to get his hands on Orton, who humiliated and injured The Miz in his hometown of Cleveland several weeks ago. The match went back and forth, despite The Miz's sneak attack, with The Miz blocking a Hanging DDT before the lights in the arena went out. The Wyatt Family appeared at the top of the ramp, causing The Miz to get distracted by and eat an RKO to fall at the hands of Orton. After the match, Bray Wyatt warned The Miz that they would put him down.

Winner: Fandango

Paul Heyman was backstage attempting to convince Raw general manager Brad Maddox to turn the Ryback-CM Punk match at Hell In A Cell into a 2-on-1 Handicap match with Ryback and Curtis Axel taking on Punk, because it would "best for business." Maddox offered to compromise, scheduling two Beat The Clock matches - one with Ryback and one with CM Punk, and whoever won got to pick the stipulation for their pay-per-view match.

MATCH #:3: 3MB (w/ Jinder Mahal) vs. Los Matadores
Los Matadores pinned Heath Slater, finishing him with a Double Back-Drop for the pin. After the match, Jinder Mahal of 3MB, who was ringside, attempted to get physical with Los Matadores only to get caught with Double Back-Drop with El Torito jumping off the top rope on top of Mahal.

Triple H, with his wife Stephanie McMahon, came out to address The Big Show knocking him out last week, saying he was pressing charges against The Big Show and will sue him for everything he was worth. Daniel Bryan came out to gloat about the WWE COO getting disrespected by The Big Show, only to get attacked by Alberto Del Rio. McMahon then scheduled Bryan versus Alberto Del Rio for later in the night.

MATCH #4: Ryback (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. R-Truth - Beat the Clock Challenge
Ryback took his turn before CM Punk in the Beat the Clock challenge in which the competitor who finishes their opponent the quickest gets to call the stipulation at Hell In A Cell. R-Truth attempted a Lie Detector finisher, only to get caught in Ryback's Shell Shock, ending the match at the 5:44 mark.

MATCH #6: Tamina Snuka (w/ WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee) vs. Brie Bella
Nikki Bella was banned from ringside while Tamina was escorted down to the ring by the WWE Divas champion AJ Lee. Brie attempted a Hurricanrana only to have Tamina counter it, Brie eating a huge boot before getting pinned. Tamina than nailed Brie with a Samoan Drop, following up with a Shoulder-Breaker and ending with a Superfly Slash. AJ Lee wanted to kick the Total Diva while she was down, cinching the Black Widow finisher on her to further punish Brie.

MATCH #7: CM Punk vs. Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (non-title) - Beat the Clock Challenge
CM Punk took his turn in the Beat the Clock Challenge, ending with Axel countering a neck-breaker, only to get kicked in the face and take the GTS for the pin-fall, finishing 11-seconds quicker than Ryback. After the match, Punk said the stipulation for his match at the PPV would be a 2-on-1 Handicap match between Ryback and Heyman versus "The Straight-Edge Superstar" inside a Hell In A Cell cage.
Winner CM Punk

MATCH #8: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan (non-title)
Del Rio and Bryan had a great back and forth match, with Bryan taking control with a Flying Headbutt until Randy Orton appeared on the TitanTron, in the trainers room where Brie Bella was being attended after her beating at the hands of Tamina and AJ Lee. MATCH #8: WWE Tag-Team Champions The Shield vs. Goldust & Cody Rhodes - No DQ title match
Stephanie McMahon and Triple H demanded that The Shield destroy the Rhodes once and for all, turning the title match into a no-disqualification match at the last minute. The match degenerated into a three-on-one match with U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose making his presence felt. The Big Show, who was fired last week, came through the crowd and more than evened the odds for the Rhodes family, knocking out Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns with three WMD punches, giving Cody the chance to cover Reigns for the 1-2-3 count, winning the world tag team belts. The Big Show retreated into the stands, leading a "Yes" chant with the crowd to end the show.
