The cast of "Grey's Anatomy" broke out the champagne glasses to toast their landmark 200th episode, while their fictitious counterparts partied hard to raise money for Grey Sloan Memorial.

In "Puttin' On the Ritz," the gang attended Jackson's (Jesse Williams) circus-themed fundraiser. With the rest of the doctors at the fundraiser, Shane (Gaius Charles) and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) stepped up to care of a full ER. Shane attempts a risky procedure, and when it turns out well, he kisses Stephanie, right when Jackson walks in. (The couple patch things up afterwards, though.) But the big surprise is who the patient is. The patient turns out to be Alex's drug-addict father (played by James Remar), whom Alex (Justin Chambers) hasn't seen in 20 years.

Back at the gala, Callie (Sara Ramirez) is running around telling everyone that Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) is dead, while she is really just crying in a supply closet. April (Sarah Drew) takes pity on Arizona, and joins her for a drink in the closet. In the ballroom, Cristina (Sandra Oh) gets jealous when Owen (Kevin McKidd) gets too friendly with Emma, a party crasher from another hospital, even though Cristina was the one who precipitated the break-up. But at the end of the night, Cristina decides to stick to her resolution to see other people and encouraged the two to hook up.

At the hospital, Webber (James Pickens Jr.) is still not acquiescing to Bailey's (Chandra Wilson) treatment--he even protests so much that he violently knocks her down. Then, Bailey moves a dying, misogynistic racist into his room, and he finally gives in to her help.

On the next episode, "I Bet It Stung," Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will try to balance work and home life, but it's harder than she thinks. She and Cristina will also share some biting words.

The synopsis reads: "Meredith jumps back into work but finds it hard to excel at both motherhood and being a surgeon. Stephanie tries to make a good impression on Jackson's mom, and Jo finds herself overly involved with her new patient. Meanwhile, Callie and Owen deal with an emotional situation regarding a patient, on "Grey's Anatomy."

Also in store this season is an episode directed by Kevin McKidd. McKidd told Entertainment Weekly that the episode includes Meredith working on an experimental procedure, a dramatic storyline revolving around Bailey and Ben (Jason George) and more about Callie and Arizona.

"It's really intense and really interesting," McKidd said. "I love how [Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw] play together. and I really love working with them." He also said there will be an "amazing" storyline with Sandra Oh's Cristina and Gaius Charles's Shane. "There's a lot of combat in my episode."
