Bahrain and Malaysia will face off in the AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualifiers on Tuesday.

Bahrain enters the contest with six points in two games. The team defeated Yemen 2-0 in its opening game before defeating Qatar 1-0 in the second match. Malaysia lost 2-0 against Qatar in its first game but beat Yemen 2-1 in the follow-up.

The two nations have met 11 times in their history. Bahrain has held the edge in the matchup with five wins, two losses and four draws. The first games between the two teams took place in 1977 and 1978; Malaysia managed wins in both of them. The following two games in 1979 and 1980 ended in draws for both teams. Since then Bahrain has been the better side with wins in five of seven games; their best victory came in 1981 when they won 6-0 in the Lion City Cup. The teams have not met since 2007 when they both competed in the World Cup qualifiers in a seven day span. Bahrain won the opener at home by the score of 4-1 before settling for a 0-0 draw in the second leg. The two sides have only met in two previous Asian Cup matches. One of the games ended in a 2-2 draw while the latter match ended in a 3-1 Bahrain victory; both games took place in 2003.

Prediction: Bahrain has two wins and looks solid defensively. Expect a 1- win from Bahrain in Malaysia.

Start Time: Kick-off gets underway at 8:15 a.m. EST

The match will not be broadcast in the United States or online.
