Android 4.4 KitKat is just around the corner, and despite Google's best efforts to keep mum on the whole project, it looks like there's another leak revealing the new mobile operating system. The latest series of hands-on Nexus 5 photos show Android 4.4 KitKat running, and here's what we can tell from them

The images hit the web courtesy of Tutto Android, which posted the images early Friday morning. The Nexus 5 in the pictures is reportedly running Android 4.4 build KRS92B.

For starters, the images show that Android 4.4 KitKat looks to brighten things up with a more colorful user interface. Android's heavy reliance on the color black seems have to have been replaced with more blues, reds, yellows, and greens. Subsequently, some of the app icons have been changed, and there are now more actionable ways to activation functions from areas like the lock and home screen.

The photographs fall in line with previous Android 4.4 KitKat leaks, all which show off Google's movement towards a more colorful, white operating system. Pages such as the Downloads screen have been brought more in line with Google's new aesthetic that can be found on the latest versions of its mobile apps like Gmail.

Google hasn't released any official details on Android 4.4 KitKat, but the Mountain View search giant is expected to hold an event Oct. 15 to reveal both Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5 smartphone.
