Greece and Slovakia will face off in the World Cup qualifiers on Friday.

The Greeks are stuck in a deadlock with Bosnia and Herzegovina for the top spot in the group. Both teams have 19 points in eight games, but Greece only has a +5 goal differential; its rivals have scored 20 more goals than they have conceded.

The two sides will not face off against one another any longer, so Greece must take its destiny into its own hands and hope for luck. Two Greek wins and any loss of points by Bosnia and Herzegovina would lead to a first place finish for Greece. Otherwise the team will have to settle for second place and a two-game playoff against another second place team.

Greece has won every single game of the group stage except for the two against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Greeks managed a 0-0 draw in the home game against Bosnia and Herzegovina but lost 3-1 on the road.

Greece defeated Slovakia 1-0 in the first game in Bratislava but will likely have greater confidence heading into its match in Piraeus.

Slovakia is already eliminated from contention but sits in third place with 12 points thanks to a record of three wins, three draws, and two losses. They have scored nine goals but conceded seven.

Prediction: Greece is the favorite and will use the energetic home crowd to pull off a 3-0 win.

Start Time: The match gets underway at 2:45 p.m. EST.
