The show "Horror & Roll" will be filmed during the "Mórbido" horror festival, in which Mexican filmmakers and artists like Alejandra Guzmán, Babasónicos and Café Tacvba participate, reported El Universal on its website.

According to the newspaper, every year, the horror film festival takes place with the purpose of uniting the great artistic talents of the medium and this year it celebrates its sixth edition in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán. The episodes of "Horror & Roll" will be released during the November festival through YouTube.

The project's director, Pablo Guisa, said, "Before we thought we'd do the series and from there launch other products, but we're going to build the pyramid backwards; the intention is to film short episodes to upload them to Mórbido TV on YouTube which will have hosts for specific programs, and give space for the production of the genre. And next year we begin the TV show to which more people will be invited."

The newspaper explains that within the director's plan, it highlights that the project is still undecided on which artist will star in the horror series, and that the possible directors for the show could be Simón Ross of "Malos Hábitos" fame, Rigoberto Castañeda of "Kilómetro 31", Emilio Portes of "Pastorela", Rafael Lara of "Labios Rojos" and Jorge Michel Gray of "Somos Lo Que Hay".

The premiere of Hideo Nakata's film "Monster" is confirmed for the Mórbido festival; the Japanese director is considered one of best horror directors in Japan thanks to his films "Ringu" and "Honogurai Mizu No Soko Kara". The bi-monthly Mórbido magazine will also launch during the festival, which will have national circulation and its main theme will be horror in comics, video games, movies, literature and more. The director of the event said Issue Zero "will be a gift and has The Walking Dead on its cover, an image by an artists inspired in it, because this issue will be a zombie special."
