Tiger Woods will team up with Matt Kuchar in Thursday's Presidents Cup action, taking on the pairing of Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman, representing the International team.

Woods will partner with Kuchar in Match 5, playing four-day in the 10th biennial match-play event pitting a team of American golfers against a team of non-Europeans stars. Third-ranked Phil Mickelson will pair up with Keegan Bradley, who are 3-0 in team competitions, squares off against South African friends Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel in Match 3. Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters winner who is ranked second in the world, will partner up with Hideki Matsuyama and will face Bill Haas and Webb Simpson in Match 2.

The Americans have dominated going 7-1-1 into this year's edition of the Presidents Cup tournament, having won each of the past four competitions by at least three points.

"It's really important for the Internationals to win and just for myself, for my own satisfaction, of being on a winning team, which I haven't done in my career," said Scott, who has participated in the event five times but has yet to taste victory. "I really want to experience that elation with a bunch of other guys around me that have put in all that effort for the week. I'm looking forward to that opportunity."

International team captain, Nick Price, had a tough task coming up with the pairings, especially with seven rookies on the squad, meaning at least one team consisted of first-timers in such a tournament.

"I think obviously the U.S. has got a little bit more experience than we have, but I think what we lack in experience we'll make up for in enthusiasm," said Price - who has been on the team five times, winning the tournament in 1998 and a tie in 2003. "The rookies on my team are all very eager to go, and I think there's some great match-ups there."
