The Weinstein Company has announced the release date for "Grace of Monaco."

According to the company, the film will be released on March 14, 2014. The news pulls the film out of 2015 awards contention. Early releases tend to not be seen with good eyes, generally score subpar reviews and rarely get Oscar nominations.

"Grace of Monaco" was once seen as an awards contender but was delayed by the Weinstein Company. Harvey Weinstein recently spoke about the reasons for the delay and said it "just wasn't finished, the sound, anything." He added that the film would get the full awards push and even compared it to "My Week with Marilyn." He said, "I think it's going to be even bigger than 'My Week with Marilyn.'"

The company has been shifting its schedule for the past few weeks. On Monday, TWC announced that "Philomena" starring Judi Dench would be released in November and David Frankel's "One Chance" would be released in December.

The company is also gearing up to start campaigning its awards slate, which also includes "Fruitvale Station," "Lee Daniel's The Butler," "The Grandmaster" and "August: Osage County."

TWC is known for its numerous successful Oscar campaigns. Last year the company garnered more nominations than any other studio with "Silver Linings Playbook," Kon-Tiki," "The Master" and "Django Unchained." Previously the company won two Best Pictures in a row with "The Artist" and "The King's Speech." It has also been in charge of such notable films "A Single Man," "The Reader," "My Week with Marilyn" and "Blue Valentine."

"Grace of Monaco" stars Nicole Kidman, Paz Vega, Tim Roth and Frank Langella. The film was directed by Oliver Dahan.
