Galatasaray will look to impress new coach Roberto Mancini when it takes on Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Mancini's arrival was announced Monday after the team struggled early on in the Turkish League and Champions League. Mancini was instrumental in helping Manchester City reclaim the Premier League title during the 2011-12 season, but his poor performance in the Champions League last season and his inability to win any trophies ultimately led to his downfall with the English side.

Fortunately, he inherits a club that is currently playing below expectations and could become a top contender under the appropriate guidance.

"I am very happy to come to a club as big as Galatasaray. The Galatasaray-Juventus match will be a happy coincidence for me," Mancini said, according to ESPN.

Galatasaray dominated the opening 45 minutes of its first UCL game against Real Madrid but wound up losing control and lost 6-1. The team knows that it has a chance to take down a struggling Juventus side that has had trouble finding its scoring touch.

The Italian giants dominated Copenhagen in their opening UCL match but could not top the underdog and ended up with just one point. Juventus has had notoriously bad starts in past UCL campaigns, but has always managed to find a way to win.

A win by Galatasaray on Wednesday in Italy could turn the tide in Mancini's favor and help the team get out of the group stage.

Prediction: Galatasaray forces a 1-1 draw against Juventus.

Start Time: 2:45 p.m. EST
