Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid will look to continue its stellar start when it takes on FC Porto in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.

Madrid has a perfect record of eight wins in eight competitive matches this season; the team drew in two Super Cup games against Barcelona as well. One of those eight victories was a 3-1 destruction of Zenit St. Petersburg in the first match of the UCL. However, the team's most important win of the season came this past weekend when Atletico took down cross town rival Real Madrid in the Spanish League for the first time since 1999.

"They played extraordinarily well," Simeone said, according to Sports Mole. "From their intensity to knowing where to cause harm [to Madrid]. I congratulate them because they have responded really well in an important game. We only speak about ourselves, [and] I believe we interpreted the game well. We understood that we could take advantage of Diego Costa between the lines and David Villa played the perfect game tactically. We missed a couple of great chances in the one-on-one."

Porto also won its first match over Austria Vienna.

The two sides have faced off four times in the competition. In 2009, they were both part of the same group; Porto won the first game 3-0 and followed it up with a 2-0 win. The clubs would face off again in the round of 16 and would draw 2-2 on aggregate over two matches; Porto scored two away goals and wound up with the ultimate victory.

Prediction: Atletico wins 2-0.
