For those of us who watch Breaking Bad on Netflix, or at least DVR episodes until we can watch them at our leisure, Twitter can be a minefield of spoilers - potentially ruining the best TV show in years - especially after last night's series finale.

Not to worry though, Netflix this week created a Twitter-centric service called Spoiler Foiler, which blocks out any tweets that could wreck the surprise (or lack thereof - no spoilers here!) of the über-popular show's ending.

After logging in with your Twitter account, Spoiler Foiler filters your Twitter feeds and redacts any tweet that has, for example, the words "breaking" or "bad." It does this without regard to context, so if you're an orthopedic doctor who relies on Twitter for emergency house calls, it's best that you avoid the filter.

Of course, this is most useful for someone watching Neflix in the U.K., where the final episode of Season 5 of Breaking Bad is already available for viewing; In the U.S., Netflix users will likely have to wait several months to a year before getting a shot at the final few episodes (i.e., Season 5, part 2) of Breaking Bad.

In that case, your best bet is to move into the mountains and avoid civilization entirely, or just find a friend (or make a friend) who recorded the final few episodes, because not even Spoiler Foiler will be able to save you from the inevitable water cooler chatter.

Creating such a service is not only fun, but could be useful to Netflix, which is known for creating a binge-watching experience for subscribers who eschew the ordinary week-by-week episode release schedule of broadcast and cable TV.

If it hasn't already been spoiled, you can sign up for Spoiler Foiler here. (NB, Does not work with Facebook or real life). And, of course, this is not a spoiler - but I wish it was.
