Apple's latest mobile operating system is reportedly the fastest software upgrade in history.
According to mobile app marketing platform Fiksu, which has been tracking millions of iPhones hourly since the Sept. 18 launch of iOS 7, the new mobile operating system's usage ranked at 59.2 percent during the first seven days of its release.

While Apple did state iOS 7 was the "fastest software upgrade in history," the Cupertino-based organization did not provide comparisons to previous mobile platforms.
Fiksu placed iOS 6 just under 46 percent and iOS 5's at 27.2 percent during their respective first-week releases.
Meanwhile, Mixpanel has iOS 7's usage at 58.28 percent to iOS 6's 36.81 percent.
iOS 7, however, is already on its second firmware update. As Latinos Post reported, iOS 7.0.2 launched on Sept. 26 for all Apple devices with two notable improvements. According to Apple, the update features bug fixes that previously allowed someone to bypass the lock screen's passcode and reintroduces a Greek keyboard option for the passcode's entry

For iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s users, Apple released iOS 7.0.1 update on Sept. 20, which featured a fix for the fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5s.
The iDevice owners can obtain the latest software update over-the-air by tapping Settings, then General and finally Software Update. The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphone owners can also install the update by connecting to iTunes 11.1.
iOS 7 is available for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and the fifth generation of the iPod touch.
