Mexican singer Gloria Trevi presented her new album titled "De Película", a co-production with Sebastián Jácome and with which she celebrates another year of freedom after being in prison for a long time.

"I want to mark a new era that will be spectacular, I seek to transmit a lot of feelings and images, more than they normally do, like I did with 'Dr. Psiquiatra' and 'Brincan los Borregos'. The album is a magic ticket to a multicinema with VIP screens, there are songs for all ages; family songs and erotic songs," Trevi said during a press conference promoting her new album, as quoted by Terra.

Trevi's new album, which involved collaborations with Ettore Grenci, Mottiff and Armando Ávila, was presented just as the Mexican celebrates another year since she got out of prison. "It wasn't planned and my label doesn't know about my anniversaries, but just on September 21 I made an autograph signing event to celebrate something special. I came back to take a second chance, nine years ago I didn't start from zero, I started from minus a million," she said.

"De Película" comprises 11 singles, among which is "No Querías Lastimarme" which might become a hit. Another song included in the new album is a collaboration with rapper Shy Carter titled "Habla Blah Blah." The singer described the song as something not planned. "His presence was not expected, the producer was working on the arrangements and he said 'I want to participate'," Trevi stated.

For the song "No Querías Lastimarme," the singer was inspired by the story of one of her fans. "Her story reminded me of feelings, sufferings and fears of the unknown. If someone comes by and tells you that you're cute but leaves, then why does he get you all excited? After 10 years of knowing my husband we went through the moment in which you forget to talk (...) I think that people can connect to the emotions in this song," she explains to Mexican media.

Terra highlights that the back cover of Trevi's album was designed as a parody of "American Beauty." The album back cover shows the singer being naked and surrounded by popcorn. Trevi dedicates the album to all strong women.
