Fans of the eerie drama series “American Horror Story” have anxiously been awaiting its third season, dubbed "Coven." Horror is entertaining. It's riveting. You can feel it in your bones. So naturally, they're eager to dig up any details on the forthcoming season before its premiere. Lucky for them, co-creator Ryan Murphy has shared several hard hitting details that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand with rigor mortis.

Oddly enough, the clues lie in the titles. "I've always been obsessed with main titles. I really feel like it's an art form," Murphy said. "It tells you what the viewing experience ahead is going to be." In last season's opening credits, images of people stuck in bathtubs foreshadowed the milk baths and Lana and other inmates suffered. Murphy embeds images from a particular season's episodes throughout the credit sequence, using existing sets and locations to make them readily detectable once they appear on the show.

Now for those who want all the answers to the upcoming “Coven,” you can now watch the brand new main title sequence. The video features a screaming woman (not too surprising), bloody stitches, eerie and distorted images of witches in a forest, a voodoo doll, a twig monster (?), recurring images of a horse-like creature, and an ominous witch bonfire. The classic ingredients for a wholesome, family friendly program.

"You have to watch it 10 times because every frame is a clue for what the season will be," Murphy said. "And every year it has a different tone, look and concept. By the last frame of the main title for 'Coven,' you'll really have an idea of what the last frame of the 'Coven' season will be.”

"American Horror Story" will return to FX October 9.
