Motorola's recently-released Moto X smartphone built quite the hype train for itself in the month leading up to its launch, which was sadly ruined by a number of issues plaguing the device, especially the camera problems. Luckily, Motorola seems to have rolled out a fix for T-Mobile and Sprint users, with AT&T Moto X owners next in line.

AT&T has apparently invited a number of its feedback community members to participate in a soak test for a new software update. Soak tests are when carriers soft release a patch to a portion of the public so that they can spot any problems that arise on a large scale. Nothing specific about the software was mentioned, but as Droid-Life states, with T-Mobile and Sprint recently having released the same Moto X update, chances are AT&T is gearing up to do so too.

The update, if it is indeed the same as the T-Mobile and Sprint patches, brings the usual security and performance enhancements. Its main feature, however, is to fix the camera issues that Moto X users have been complaining about. The update fixes the camera all around, improving colors and blacks and whites indoors and outdoors. The camera app itself too has been given a performance boost, allowing for users to switch between the rear and front cameras faster.

There's no word on when AT&T will official roll out the software currently going through the soak test, nor is there any word on when Verizon will release the camera-improving patch. If history is any indication, AT&T's is just around the corner and Verizon customers will simply have to wait for Big Red to take its own sweet time as usual.
