AS Roma will look to continue its perfect 2013-14 start when it takes on Sampdoria on Wednesday in the Serie A.

Roma has won all four of its matches this season and is locked in a tie for first place with Napoli. The club is coming off a huge win over rival club Lazio. Captain Francesco Totti believes that this win will give the club the confidence it needs to continue its terrific play this season.

"As I've said often, the derby is unlike any other game, and winning it can change your entire season because it reinforces your belief and gives you enthusiasm," Totti said, according to ESPN. However, he noted that there was a great deal left to do this season.

"We're not going to celebrate now, though, because we're thinking about [the next game against] Genoa, and if we want to build something definite, we've got to do so by keeping our attention high from game to game," he added. "We gained this win with concentration and, above all, the team's combined desire."

Sampdoria has not picked up a win yet in its first four matches. The club lost 1-0 against Juventus in its opener on Aug. 24 before drawing 2-2 with Bologna the following week. In its third game, the club lost 3-0 against Genoa before drawing 2-2 with Cagliari.

Prediction: Roma loses points for the first time this season in a 1-1 draw.

Start Time: 2:45 p.m. EST
