Samsung's highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 3 smartphone is set to land in consumers' hands in October, and while major U.S. carriers Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile are all taking pre-orders, Sprint customers seem to have been left out of the loop and worries are mounting the carrier might be late in offering the device. Luckily, a new report states Sprint will begin selling the phablet around the same time as the others, in early October.

Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile have all released information regarding the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on their respective networks, but Sprint has been unusually mum on details. According to news outlet IBTimes, which spoke to a Sprint retail representative, Sprint will start selling the Galaxy Note 3 Oct. 2. By comparison, the Galaxy Note 3 will release through AT&T Oct. 1, through T-Mobile Oct. 2, and through Verizon Oct. 10. Sprint has not officially commented on the matter, but if the date is accurate, expect a pre-order page to be up shortly.

Carrier U.S. Cellular has also announced that it will offer the Galaxy Note 3, but has yet to give any details for pre-ordering or an official release date.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 aims to continue the success of large Android smartphones, commonly dubbed "phablets," with more size and power. The Galaxy Note 3 is equipped with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The rear shooter can take stills at 13 megapixels, while the front-facing camera has 1.9 megapixels. Both cameras can record in 1080p and some models will even have 4k video recording enabled. The Galaxy Note 3 in the United States will support LTE connectivity, and the phone will ship with Android 4.3 and the brand-new S Pen electronic stylus right out of the box. The Galaxy Note 3 also sports a new feel, more akin to a high-tech journal than a plastic smartphone.
