Lazio will look to get off to an impressive start in the Europa League when it takes on Legia Warsaw on Thursday.

The Italian side has gotten off to a solid start in the Italian League this season. On Aug. 25, the team opened up at home with a 2-1 win over Udinese. Six days later, Lazio traveled to Juventus where it was destroyed 4-1 by the top team in the league. Fortunately the defeat did not harm the squads' self-esteem because two weeks later Lazio destroyed Chievo Verona 3-1 at home.

Now the team will take on a potent Legia Warsaw team and striker Sergio Floccari knows that his team must be careful.

"Our fans are already thinking about the derby [against Roma],'' Floccari said, according to ESPN. "But we want to do well on Thursday in order to go into Sunday's game in buoyant mood.

"We know that we will face a team that has a winning mentality considering they have won the Polish title for three years in a row," he added about his opponents. "Legia have nothing to lose and we will have to be careful."

Legia Warsaw is coming off a tough Champions League campaign. Legia entered the campaign for UCL berth in the second round of qualifying where it took on T.N.S. After winning the opening leg 3-1 on the road, Warsaw took down T.N.S. 1-0 at home. A week later, Warsaw took on Molde and managed a 1-1 draw on the road. The away marker proved to be the difference as the two sides tied 0-0 in Warsaw. In the playoff round, Warsaw was drawn into a matchup with Steaua Bucharest. The two teams drew 1-1 in Bucharest, but a 2-2 draw in Poland proved to be damning to the hosts and they were eliminated from contention.

Prediction: Lazio pulls off a 1-0 win.
