Apple has commenced the promotion for the new iPhone 5c with its first television advertisement.

The 30-second video for the iPhone 5c, titled "Plastic Preferred," starts with a liquid motion of the smartphone's various colors.

Ranging from blue, green, pink, white, and yellow, the liquids shift to form the iPhone 5c. The buttons, camera, and Apple logo are seen immersing from the iPhone 5c as the smartphone turns to show the iOS 7 menu on the screen.

The first iPhone 5c advertisement launched on Apple's official YouTube account on Sept. 16 and has garnered nearly 900,000 views in over 24 hours.

As Latinos Post reported, the iPhone 5c's features are similar to the discontinued iPhone 5 include a 4-inch screen with 1,136x640 pixels. The iOS 7 smartphone will be available in 16GB and 32GB models. The iPhone 5c has a rear-facing camera with 8 megapixels at 3,264x2,448 pixels, and a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. Similar to the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5c utilizes the A6 processor chip. The battery for the iPhone 5c allows up to 250 hours on standby and 10 hours of talk time under a 3G network.

Two notable changes include the addition of iOS 7 and new color options for the iPhone 5c. The new smartphone will be offered in blue, green, pink, white and yellow variants.

The iPhone 5c is available for $99 when buying the 16GB model and signing a two-year contract with AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon Wireless. The 32GB model will cost the consumer an additional $100.

Apple is selling the iPhone 5c unlocked and contract-free with T-Mobile instead. With T-Mobile the 16GB model of the iPhone 5c is priced at $549 while the 32GB model is $649.
